Our Egyptian family, passionate about food and hospitality, offers an authentic experience of Middle Eastern cuisine crafted with love and expertise.

Led by Chef Tharwat Bestawros, a culinary maestro with decades of experience and Melbourne’s only 5-star Egyptian Chef, Cairo Nights offers a menu that transports your taste buds to the bustling streets of Cairo. From savoury kebabs to fragrant stews, every dish is a testament to Chef Tharwat’s dedication to preserving the authentic flavours of Egyptian cuisine.

With a career spanning over some of Egypt and Australia’s most prestigious hotels, including The Grand Hyatt in Melbourne, Hilton Taba, Sonesta Cairo, Taba & Hurghada. Chef Tharwat has honed his skills and perfected his craft. He has also had the honour of cooking for international celebrities and dignitaries, including former Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak, Janet Jackson, Peter Andre, & many more.

Now, Chef Tharwat brings his expertise to Cairo Nights, offering foodies a unique opportunity to experience the vibrant halal flavours of Egypt right here in the heart of Melbourne’s food district.
